This blog began as a place to write letters to our sons. It has morphed into letters to our sons about their journey home, their journey as we learn how to be a family, and the journey to bring our little girl home.
They tell the story of our quest to adopt internationally. We didn't chase it. This wasn't part of our grand life plan, but God had other ideas. We are grateful to know now it is most certainly our purpose in life - to love our sons and daughter.
He presented us with the opportunity to bring three brothers home from Sierra Leone, a place in Western Africa deemed the poorest country in the world by the UN. They lived in an orphanage called The Covering. It's an American run facility funded by The Raining Season, and their main vision is to provide sponsorships for the children housed at The Covering. In July 2012 we met Kaday, a captivating little girl who is not biologically related to our boys, but she is our daughter nonetheless. Our boys came home in November 2013, and we continue to work to bring our daughter home.
